On April 30th and May 1st 2011, Creala cooperated with the project around the old monastery in Emelgem.
The monastery is being replaced by a more modern building. Only the front side (Prinsessestraat) remains intact. Before the demolution started, the old monastery got a last honour through a cultural project.
The monastery was opened for local artists whereby they could use the building to create art projects.
@ Creala, we created some jewelry -- and found the inspiration in the authentic flooring. The patterns we found there were recreated as a motive in some handcuffs and earrings.Some of the results are shown below.
